What personal data we collect

Account & identity. Login name and password (stored hashed), email address and phone number where provided, country and language preference, and any other details you explicitly supply to us.

Files & activity. Files you upload and files you download, filenames, sizes and basic file metadata, download counts and access records, and other actions you perform while using the site.

Technical data. IP address and approximate location, operating system and browser type, referring pages and pages visited on the service, and performance and error information.

Cookies. A session cookie that keeps you signed in, preference cookies (language, layout, etc.), anonymous analytics cookies where permitted, and advertising cookies where permitted (see section 6).

Why we collect it

Every category of data serves a clear purpose. We do not collect personal data “just in case.” Specifically, we use it to:

Measure and run the service. Site metrics that help us keep Up-4ever fast, stable and online.

Operate our advertising system. So we can support and fund the free service.

Give you access to your account. The private area and features tied to your specific user.

Send service news. Important updates about the service and, only if you opt in, occasional announcements.

Protect the platform. Detecting abuse of our Terms of Service or violations of any applicable laws.

Improve your experience. Understanding how the service is used so we can make it better.

Legal basis for processing

We ask for your consent before we begin processing your personal data on Up-4ever. By creating an account and using the service you provide that consent, and you may withdraw it at any time (see section 7). Where we are legally required to retain certain records, or where processing is strictly necessary to operate the service you requested, we rely on those grounds in addition to your consent.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share only what is necessary, only with the recipients below, and only for the purpose listed next to each:

Our file servers. Uploaded files are routed to our own storage layer for hosting and delivery — they stay within our infrastructure.

Payment processors. For premium purchases and payouts, the gateway you choose receives only the data it needs to complete the transaction.

Advertising partners. When ads appear on a page you visit, partners may set their own cookies and receive non-identifying technical data.

Law enforcement & rights holders. When required by a valid legal request, or in response to a DMCA notice, we disclose the minimum information necessary to comply.

How long we keep it

We store your personal data until you request its deletion, or until it is removed on behalf of the site administrator. In practice this means:

Account data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account we remove your personal data, retaining only what we are legally obliged to keep (such as payment records).

Uploaded files are kept according to the storage policy of your account. Files you delete are removed from download immediately and purged from storage on our standard schedule.

Technical and access logs roll over on a short retention window unless they are tied to an open abuse investigation.

Cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences, plus a limited set of third-party cookies for anonymous analytics and, where applicable, advertising. You can clear or block cookies through your browser at any time, though the service may not work correctly if you disable strictly necessary cookies.

Your rights and choices

Correction — have inaccurate or incomplete data put right.

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, hashed passwords at rest, access controls on our internal systems, and regular review. No online platform is completely breach-proof — if we ever detect an incident that materially affects your data, we will act quickly to contain it and let you know.

Children

Up-4ever is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact and we will remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, and for changes that materially affect you we will give reasonable notice through the service or by email before they take effect. Your continued use of Up-4ever after an update means you accept the revised policy.
